Random weekend type stuff

A quick, quick one as have to go to bed. Have decided to sacrifice quality (of posts) for quantity as this blog might die out otherwise. So I've got a training number (i.e. a job for the next 6 years and a qualification in paediatrics at the end of it). Just at a time when I'm starting to be less than thrilled with work. But one must be grateful (see other blog).

Made some rhubarb jam completely by accident! Was stewing some rhubarb for crumble and ended up with too much liquid, so poured the remainder off and reduced it. Then put it in a ramekin in the fridge thinking it would make a good meat seasoning only to discover that it had turned into jam by the next morning! So we had some on toast today and tomorrow's lunch shall be a decidedly transatlantic treat of peanut butter and rhubarb jelly sandwiches.
